Ute Hoepfner (* 16th November 1979 in Berlin ) is a German Yngling - sailor .

Ute Höpfner studies business administration at the Free University of Berlin. She starts for the Berlin Yacht Club . With Julia Bleck and Ulrike Schümann , she formed a crew that was trained by Lee Icyda .

In 2003 Höpfner started in Europe and the 420 dinghy . She has been in the Yngling class since the mid-2000s. In 2005, Höpfner and her team came second at the Warnemünder Woche and eighth at the World Championships on Mondsee . The team finished fifth at the Delta Lloyd Regatta . The following year the Germans won silver at the World Championships in front of La Rochelle and at the Dutch Championships. They won the bronze medal at the European Championships. The crew finished sixth in the pre-Olympic test and eighth in the Delta Lloyd regatta. 2007 was less successful for Höpfner and her teammates. The team finished eighth at the World Championships in Cascais and tenth at the Delta Lloyd Regatta.

2008 was particularly successful for Höpfner. The team finished seventh at the European Championships and bronze at the World Cup in Miami . They came second in the Delta Lloyd Regatta. In the Olympic Games of Beijing , the team finished fourth.
