Ulrike Schümann (born January 30, 1973 in Potsdam ) is a German sailor .

Ulrike Schümann works as a business graduate and starts for the Seglerhaus am Wannsee association . The active spokeswoman for the German Sailing Association won the 2000 German Championships in the Europe class . She then switched to the Yngling class. There she became German champion, Dutch champion, vice European champion and second in her class at the Kieler Woche in 2001 . In the following year she won the German championship title and the Kiel Week and became vice European champion in Brunnen . For the third time in a row, Schümann and her crew became vice world champion in Cádiz in 2003 and fifth in the World Mix. She also won the Greek championship. The 2005 World Cup on Mondsee brought eighth place. At the European Championships in Medemblik she reached fifth place.

At the 2006 World Cup in La Rochelle , the team took the vice-world title for the fourth time, and they won bronze at the European Championships in Medemblik. A year later they finished seventh at the World Cup in Cascais . In the 2008 Olympic year, Schümann and her crew were second at the European Championships in Medemblik and third at the World Championships in Miami . With Julia Bleck and Ute Hoepfner which started from Berlin at the Olympic Games in Beijing and finished there in fourth place.

Schümann bears the same name as the daughter of multiple Olympic champion Jochen Schümann , but is not related to him.

In March 2010, Ulrike Schümann announced that she was ending her Olympic career.
