Uummannaarsuk [ ˌuːmːaˈnːɑːsːuk ] (according to the old spelling Ũmánârssuk ) is a deserted Greenland settlement in the district of Sisimiut in the Qeqqata Kommunia .

Uummannaarsuk is located on an island of the same name south of the Amerloq estuary . Sisimiut is eleven kilometers north .
history
Uummannaarsuk was settled at an unknown date in the first half of the 1920s. In 1930 there were 45 inhabitants. In 1933 a school chapel and a fish house were built. In 1947 there were 67 people living in Uummannaarsuk. From 1952 it is known that the fishery was very unprofitable. In 1962 Uummannaarsuk was given up.
