Akulleq [ aˈkuɬːɜq ] (according to the old spelling Akugdleĸ ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the district of Sisimiut in Qeqqata Kommunia .
location
Akulleq is located on the south coast of the fjord of the same name , which forms the middle of the three fjord arms of the Ikertooq . The closest place is Sarfannguit 20 km to the west.
history
Akulleq consisted of just a single house in 1918, housing 16 people. Akulleq was close to the four-kilometers southwest lying Saqqarliit linked and there was no other infrastructure in place. It is unknown when Akulleq was abandoned, but Saqqarliit was abandoned in 1961.
