Kaaffik [ ˈkaːfːik ] (according to the old spelling Kâgfik ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the district of Sisimiut in the Qeqqata Kommunia .

Kaaffik is located on an island in the middle of the archipelago west of the island of Sallersua at the mouth of the Ikertooq . Kaaffik is located 25 km south of Sisimiut , 35 km southwest of Sarfannguit and 16 km north of Itilleq .
history
Nothing is known about Kaaffik, except that the population starved to death in the mid-19th century. The living space has been deserted since then.
