Friedrich Wilhelm Freiherr Droste zu Füchten (* July 5, 1712 ; † February 23, 1753 ) was canon in Münster and Paderborn .

Life

Origin and family

Friedrich Wilhelm Droste zu Füchten grew up as the son of Ernst Dietrich Anton von Droste zu Füchten and his wife Ursula Sibylla von Plettenberg zu Lenhausen together with his brothers Caspar Ferdinand (1713–1774) and Friedrich Ferdinand (1719–1770) in the Westphalian noble family Droste Fear . They were the nephews of Minister Ferdinand von Plettenberg .

Act

With the receipt of the tonsure on December 28, 1727 Friedrich Wilhelm was prepared for a spiritual life. On January 9, 1733, he took possession of the cathedral priest of Münster , which was assigned to him by papal approval. Friedrich Wilhelm was also a canon in Paderborn , where he in 1741 renounced . In 1746 he resigned in Münster in favor of his brother Friedrich Ferdinand and married Bernhardina Antonetta von Korff-Schmising (sister of Clemens August von Korff-Schmising ). The daughters Clara and Sophia Alexandrine, who was married to Clemens August Maria Droste zu Vischering , emerged from the marriage.
