Uwe Dierks
Uwe Dierks (born July 21, 1961 in Nordhorn , Lower Saxony ) is a German film producer and entrepreneur.
Life
After training as a bookseller, Dierks began studying German and Scandinavian Studies at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Cologne . He then started his career in the film and television business in 1989 as a personal assistant to Alfred Biolek at the Cologne-based TV production company Pro-GmbH, where he was responsible for the program Boulevard Bio as program developer and head of service . In 1993 he moved to RTL Television in Cologne, where he was responsible for various television formats as a program developer, such as Die Camper , Is' was Trainer and Corinna .
In 1995 he became the managing director of mea culpa GmbH in Berlin, which among other things produced the educational magazine Liebe Sünde for ProSieben . Together with Thomas Grube , he founded grube & dierks, a company specializing in documentary and music films, in 1997. Two years later, Dierks and Grube, together with the journalist Andrea Thilo, founded the production company BoomtownMedia GmbH & Co. KG in Berlin, where Dierks has been managing director and producer since then.
