Uwe Hansel (born September 29, 1956 , † December 14, 2013 ) was a German soccer player .

Career

The striker's career began in the youth of MSV Duisburg before he was brought to Bayer 05 Uerdingen in 1975 by the then Bayer 05 coach Klaus Quinkert , who was also his sports teacher at Meiderich's Max-Planck-Gymnasium . In his first season with this club, he was able to complete 11 Bundesliga games, but also no longer prevent relegation to the second division.

In the 2nd Bundesliga North he then played two more seasons for the Uerdingen, but now as a midfielder. Here he came to 43 games and eight goals. In the 1980/81 season he was able to play another 33 second division games for 1. FC Bocholt and score three goals. With the club he won the championship of the Oberliga Nordrhein in the 1979/1980 season and reached the semi-finals of the German amateur championship in both 1980 and 1983 . He then played another four years for VfL Reken , with whom he rose to the Oberliga Westfalen in 1984 . He let his career end with SpVgg Vreden and DJK 97 Bocholt .
