Uwe Staroske (born April 5, 1966 ) is a German economist and correspondence chess player .

Live and act

Uwe Staroske lives in Bremen , works at the Bremen State and University Library as a specialist in economics and is a lecturer at the University of Bremen for "Macroeconomics", "Labor market and employment policy" and "Economic thinking". He is a yoga teacher in the Verein für Hochschulsport (VfH) e. V. of the University of Bremen and has published articles on various aspects of yoga philosophy.

He is a correspondence chess player and was President of the German Correspondence Chess Federation (BdF) from 2011 to 2017 . Since 2008 he has held the title of International Correspondence Chess Master and since 2014 he has been an Honored International Correspondence Chess Master . His rating is 2,505 (ICCF rating list 2015/3). He is a member of the Bremen Chess Society from 1877 ; its current DWZ is 1628 (as of March 24, 2015).
