Uwharrie Lakes Region

The Uwharrie Lakes Region (also Uwharrie Lakes ) denotes a series of reservoirs in the mountain range of the Uwharrie Mountains along the Yadkin River in the state of North Carolina in the United States of America .

The reservoirs that make up this region are, from north to south, High Rock Lake , Tuckertown Reservoir , Badin Lake , Lake Tillery, and Blewett Falls Lake . The lakes and river are bordered on the east side by Uwharrie National Forest , a federally protected forest area that spans Stanly Counties , Rowan Counties , Davidson Counties , Montgomery Counties , Anson Counties , and Richmond Counties .
