Uxío Abuín Ares (born May 14, 1991 in Lestrobe ) is a Spanish duathlete and triathlete . He is national triathlon champion (2014) and national duathlon champion (2016) as well as reigning vice European triathlon champion (2018).

Career

Uxío Abuín started in 2009 in the triathlon in his first European Cup race.

In April 2010 he became Junior Vice European Champion Duathlon and in September in Edinburgh he was also able to secure the title of Junior World Champion in Duathlon.

In 2014 he became national triathlon champion and in 2016 national duathlon champion.

In July 2018, the 27-year-old was runner-up in Tartu (Estonia) in the triathlon sprint distance (750 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running).

He lives in Padrón .
