Väinö Koskela

Väinö Koskela ( Seppo Väinö Aleksanteri Koskela; born March 31, 1921 in Virolahti ; † September 10, 2016 ibid) was a Finnish long-distance runner .

In 1948 he was seventh over 5000 m at the Olympic Games in London .

At the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950 , he won bronze over 10,000 m . In 1952 he was eliminated from the Olympic Games in Helsinki over 5000 m in the run and came over 10,000 m in 16th place.

He was twice Finnish champion over 5000 m (1948, 1949) and once in cross-country running on the short distance (1948).
