The VR-Bank Bonn eG based in Bonn - Duisdorf is a regional, registered cooperative bank. Its business area extends over the Bonn districts of Duisdorf, Lengsdorf , Brüser Berg , Friesdorf , Plittersdorf , Bad Godesberg , Lannesdorf and Mehlem , as well as the municipality of Alfter and Wachtberg - Niederbachem .

VR-Bank Bonn was created in 2003 through the merger of Bad Godesberger Kreditbank (BGK) with Raiffeisenbank Hardtberg-Alfter .

history

On September 13, 1896, the Lengsdorfer Savings and Loan Association eGmuH opened in Bonn. Just three days later, on September 16, 1896, the Duisdorf savings and loan association eGmuH was established in the immediate vicinity. On February 2, 1961, it changed its name to Raiffeisenbank Duisdorf eG.

The Alfterer branch began on January 19, 1899 the establishment of the Alfterer savings and loans association eGmuH On 13 December 1908, the opened Oedekoven-Gielsdorfer savings and loans association eGmuH Both credit unions merged on 23 June 1964 on savings and loan association Alfter eGmbH.

After further mergers, Raiffeisenbank Hardtberg eG and Raiffeisenbank Alfter eG finally merged on July 5, 1989 to form Raiffeisenbank Hardtberg-Alfter eG.

The oldest branch of the Bad Godesberger Kreditbank can be found in Bonn-Friesdorf. On July 4th, 1880 the Friesdorfer Savings and Loan Association was founded here.

After further mergers, the Bad Godesberger Kreditbank eGmbH was formed on October 29, 1969 from the merger of the Spar- und Kreditbank eGmbH Bad Godesberg-Friesdorf and the Spar- und Kreditbank Mehlem eGmbH.

Social Commitment

The VR-Bank Bonn eG foundation, a non-profit, legal foundation under civil law, has existed since 2007. With a foundation capital of 1 million euros, the foundation supports associations and social institutions in the immediate business area in the form of donations . The main focus here is on children and youth projects.
