history
On March 13, 1881, the savings and loan association Donnersdorf-Falkenstein was founded. Raiffeisenbank Gerolzhofen und Umgebung eG merged with the banks of the Steigerwald region. The Raiffeisenbank Unterspiesheim und Umgebung eG merged with the Kolitzheim cooperative. Thereupon the members of the two banks decided to merge, from which the Raiffeisenbank Gerolzhofen-Unterspiesheim eG emerged on June 30, 1992. In 1994 the Raiffeisenbank Gerolzhofen-Unterspiesheim eG took over the customer business of Volksbank Gerolzhofen. The new company name was Raiffeisen-Volksbank Gerolzhofen-Unterspiesheim eG. The meeting of representatives in 2007 decided to change the name of the bank to VR-Bank Gerolzhofen eG.
