The VR-Bank eG in Schwerin is a German cooperative bank based in the state capital Schwerin of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern .
history
The forerunner of VR-Bank eG was founded in 1933. In 1992 Volksbank Schwerin eG and Raiffeisenbank Schwerin eG merged to form VR-Bank eG. The new institute was enlarged in 1993 by Raiffeisenbank eG Parchim and in 1994 by Raiffeisenbank eG Ludwigslust.
Legal bases
The legal basis of the bank are its articles of association and the cooperative law . The organs of the cooperative bank are the board of directors , the supervisory board and the representative assembly . The bank is part of the officially recognized BVR Institutssicherung GmbH and the additional voluntary protection scheme of the Federal Association of Deutsche Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken e. V. connected.
Branches
VR-Bank eG has eight branches and one head office. Since November 2014 the new domicile of the main administration is the VR-Bank-Haus in Werderpark (former Werderklinik ).
