The VRD Foundation for Renewable Energies does basic work in the field of education on the topics of (renewable) energy and sustainability in order to familiarize children and young people as well as their adult environment with the energy transition. Children and young people are given a basic understanding of the topics of (renewable) energy, climate protection and energy efficiency , starting in kindergarten and independently of the current debates about the energy transition. The foundation also promotes public relations through events and publications.

A study funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWI) certifies that the VRD Foundation has achieved a “sustainable result beyond the funding period”.
