Prehistory of Raiffeisen-Volksbank Neuburg / Donau eG
In the Gasthaus zu Ried, the Ried Loan Fund Association (now part of Neuburg adDonau) was founded on March 5, 1899, chaired by Pastor Eugen Erdner. From this a successful bank developed over the years. After several smaller mergers with the Raiffeisenkassen Joshofen (1960), Bergen (1969), Bittenbrunn (1970) and Unterstall (1971), the first bank building in Ried was inaugurated in December 1972. In 1980 it merged with Raiffeisenbank Feldkirchen-Zell / Donau, in 1991 with Raiffeisenbank Rennertshofen and the surrounding area, in 1992 with Raiffeisenbank Nassenfels and in 2000 with Raiffeisenbank Burgheim. The bank has its headquarters at Schrannenplatz 209 in Neuburg adDonau.
The former Volksbank Neuburg was founded on March 14, 1913 as Gewerbebank Neuburg adDonau eGmbH with 19 members. After two changes of name, it became Volksbank Neuburg in November 1933. In 1993 the bank merged with Raiffeisenbank Königsmoos and Raiffeisenbank Pöttmes. The headquarters of the cooperative was Luitpoldstrasse 70, Neuburg adDonau.
In 2002 the so-called “space merger” followed at the Neuburg banking center. Raiffeisen-Volksbank Neuburg / Donau eG emerged from the merger of Raiffeisenbank Neuburg / Donau and Volksbank Neuburg / Donau.
Prehistory of Raiffeisenbank Rain am Lech eG
In 1921 the agricultural and commercial bank Rain am Lech was founded in the Gasthaus Karrer in Rain. Here, too, a successful bank has developed over the years. In 1969, the merger with the Raiffeisenkasse Feldheim and the Raiffeisenkasse Ober- und Unterpeiching followed. Through mergers in 1987 with Raiffeisenbank Marxheim (which had incorporated the Lechsend-Graisbach, Schweinspoint and Gansheim loan associations), in 1990 with Raiffeisenbank Genderkingen, in 1993 with Raiffeisenbank Bayerdilling and in 2002 with Raiffeisenbank Holzheim-Münster (merger of the independent Holzheim cooperative, Münster and Wallerdorf), the Raiffeisenbank Rain am Lech with its headquarters at Bahnhofstrasse 6, Rain was created.
