Vald
Vald (born July 15, 1992 in Aulnay-sous-Bois ), real life Valentin Le Du , is a French rapper.
After two mixtapes and two EPs, Le Du released his first studio album on January 20, 2017, entitled Agartha. His second album, '' XEU '', was released about a year later on February 2, 2018. On September 14, 2018, Vald released his third album, NQNT33 .
Life
Valentin Le Du grew up in the Île-de-France region in his native Aulnay-sous-Bois . His father comes from Brittany . Le Du attended the secondary school Lycée privée catholique l'Espérance and completed the science branch with the highest school diploma, the Baccaulauréat. Before he started his professional rap career, he studied medicine for a semester in order to later complete a mathematical and computer training course and attend a school for sound engineering.
Le Du has a son named Charles who was born in 2014. He lives separated from the mother of the son.
Career
Vald became interested in rap when he was 15 when he heard songs by Haitian-French rapper Kery James on the Internet. At the age of 17 he finally began to write rap lyrics himself. Vald claims that he was not strongly influenced by rap because he only recognized the style of music late.
He offered his first mixtapes, NQNTMQMQMB ( Ni Queue Ni Tête Mais Qui Met Quand Même Bien ) and Cours de rattrapage ("tutoring course") for free download on his website. They have been on sale as a double CD and remixed since 2016.
On October 27, 2014 Vald released his first EP entitled NQNT ( Ni Queue Ni Tête ) ("Neither tail nor head") on the label of the rapper Tunisiano . In June 2015 he released a music video for his piece Bonjour . The video shows Vald's inclination towards the curious and absurd and quickly reached over a million views. The piece Bonjour finally appears on his second EP NQNT 2 , which reached the top position of sold records in the week of release.
His first studio album called Agartha was released on January 20, 2017 . Six titles, Eurotrap , Megadose , Kid Cudi , Ma meilleure amie , Vitrine and Si j'arrêtais were released as single in advance or after publication.
On February 2, 2018, Vald released his second studio album entitled XEU . It consists of 17 tracks and includes features from the rappers Sirius , Suik'on Blaz AD and Sofiane .
His third album, NQNT33 , was released on September 14th, 2018. In September 2019, Vald announced his fourth studio album, which was released on October 11th under the title Ce monde es cruel . The single Journal Perso II was released before that .
