Valdas Vasiliauskas

Valdas Vasiliauskas (born December 10, 1951 in Lazdijai ) is a Lithuanian journalist and politician.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Lazdijai in 1970, he graduated from the Faculty of History of the Vilniaus universitetas with a degree in journalism in 1975 . From 1974 to 1985 he worked in the weekly Literatūra ir menas , from 1985 to 1988 in the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania , from 1991 to 1992 in the daily newspaper Lietuvos aidas .

In 1992 he founded the weekly magazine Veidas and until 1996 he was its editor-in-chief. In 1996 he was editor of TV antena of Lietuvos rytas and from 1998 to 2007 head of Ekstra magazine . From 2007 to 2012 he was general director and editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper and UAB Lietuvos žinios .

In 2012 he was selected for Seimas with Drąsos kelias .
