Valentin Lippmann (born January 22, 1991 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and since 2014 Parliamentary Director of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament .

Life and volunteering

Lippmann attended the 103rd elementary school "Unterm Regenbogen" and then the Dreikönigschule Dresden , where he passed the Abitur in 2009. He then studied at the Technical University of Dresden and completed a bachelor's degree in political science in 2012 and a master's degree in politics and constitution in 2015 . He comes from a parental home where it was very strongly communicated that as a citizen one cannot hope for the state alone.

In 2006 he became a member of the Green Youth and in 2007 of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party. Since 2008 he has been treasurer of the Dresden district association and from 2009 to 2014 he was the spokesman for the local council (since 2018: district council) of his party in Dresden-Neustadt. From 2010 to 2014 he was a member of the state party council of the Greens in Saxony and from 2011 to 2014 spokesman for the working group on democracy and law of the state association. He resigned the party offices in 2014 when he was elected to the state parliament.

Political electoral offices

In the state elections in Saxony in 2014 , Lippmann was a direct candidate of his party in the constituency of Dresden 1 , in which he achieved the third-best result of the applicants with 15.2% of the votes, but above 6th place on the state list of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen as a member of the Saxons Landtag moved in. On September 16, 2014, the Greens parliamentary group appointed him parliamentary manager for the 6th electoral term and deputy chairman of the parliamentary group. In the state parliament he is a member of the interior committee, the committee for rules of procedure and immunity matters and also a member of the 1st investigative committee ("Neo-Nazi terror networks in Saxony"). For his parliamentary group, he also acts as a spokesman for domestic policy, data protection and local affairs. In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , Lippmann achieved the second-best constituency result with 22.6% of the first votes and moved into the state parliament again via list position 4 on the state list of Alliance 90 / The Greens, where he continued his work in his previous functions.
