Valerie Holsboer (* 2. January 1977 as Valerie Naumann in Munich ) is a German lawyer . From April 1, 2017 to September 12, 2019, she was a member of the board of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg . As Board Member for Resources, she was particularly responsible for the two business areas Controlling and Finance as well as Human Resources.

Life

Valerie Holsboer studied 1996-2001 jurisprudence at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. She completed her legal clerkship from 2001 to 2003 at the Munich Higher Regional Court . From May 2003 to August 2007 Holsboer was in the legal department of the Employers' Association of Insurance Companies in Germany (AGV) e. V. active. In March 2007 she was appointed deputy managing director of the AGV.

Valerie Holsboer worked from August 2007 to March 31, 2017 as the general manager of the Bundesverband der Systemgastronomie (BdS) eV (employers' and trade association in the sector).

From 2012 to March 31, 2017, she also held the position of General Manager of the Employers' Association of Food and Enjoyment (ANG) eV (socio-political branch association). In September 2015 she coordinated the negotiations on the voluntary commitment of the German meat industry with the Federal Ministry of Economics .

In the board meeting on July 12, 2019, Holsboer was voted out of board member by the board of directors of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) at the instigation of the employer representative Peter Clever with the necessary two-thirds majority. The decision of the administrative council had to be confirmed by the federal government. With the handover of the certificate of discharge on September 12, 2019, Holsboer resigned from office. In the history of the Federal Employment Agency, Florian Gerster was voted out of office only once before. As a consequence of the power struggle, Peter Clever resigned from his position as a member of the Board of Directors on July 16, 2019.

From April 2014 to March 2018 she was an honorary judge at the Federal Labor Court . This ended when the appointment expired. Before that she was an honorary judge at the labor court in Munich for 10 years . From 2015 to October 2016 she was alternating chairwoman of the general assembly of the Federal Association for Rehabilitation (BAR). She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) from June 2010 to October 2016.

With her appointment to the board of the Federal Employment Agency on April 1, 2017, she ended her activities as an honorary judge at the Social Court in Munich and her membership in the collective bargaining committee of the Federal Ministry of Labor since 2013 . Since 2014 Holsboer has been a member of the minimum wage commission of the Federal Ministry of Labor and alternating chairperson of the representative assembly and the federal representative assembly of the German Pension Insurance Association . Both functions also ended in April 2017. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the McDonald's Children's Aid Foundation and was its ombudswoman until April 2017 .

Holsboer has been a member of the DGFP board since June 7, 2019 .
