José Alexis Valido Moreno (* 9. March 1976 in Las Palmas , Gran Canaria ) is a former Spanish Volleyball - national team .

Alexis Valido started playing volleyball in his home in Gran Canaria. He later played in mainland Spain in Gijón and Málaga . In 2000 the Libero moved to the German Bundesliga for VfB Friedrichshafen , where he became a crowd favorite. Valido was German champion four times and won the DVV Cup six times in a row . For six years he was one of the best defensive and acceptance players in the Bundesliga and was regularly selected for top positions in the rankings of volleyball magazine . In 2006 Valido moved to the top French club Tours Volley-Ball and in 2007 back to Spain to Unicaja Almería , where he had to end his career in 2010 after a knee operation.

Alexis Valido made 170 international appearances for the Spanish national team . He participated in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and in 2002 in the World Cup in Argentina .

Today Alexis Valido lives again in his home in Las Palmas on Gran Canaria.
