Valter Kolmodin

Valter Kolmodin (born May 27, 1910 in Linköping , † November 4, 1952 in Kopparberg ) was a Swedish table tennis player . He achieved his greatest successes in the 1920s and 1930s. He participated in five world championships .

Career

At national Swedish championships Valter Kolmodin won a total of four titles, namely in 1931 in singles and doubles with Gustaf Johnsson and in 1931 and 1932 in the team competition with BK Derby Linköping. In 1928 and 1943 he was second in the individual. He was represented internationally at the World Championships in 1928 , 1929 , 1930 and 1931 . He was most successful in 1930 in Berlin, when he won silver with the Swedish team and was third in doubles with Hille Nilsson .

In 1929 he played at the International German Championships in Berlin. Here he won the mixed with the German Ingeborg Carnatz , in the individual he was third.
