Ingeborg Carnatz

Ingeborg Carnatz was a German table tennis player in the 1930s . She took part in world championships twice.

Carnatz won the 1929 International German Championships in singles and mixed games with the Swede Valter Kolmodin . In 1930 she reached the final in singles. With Erika Metzger she won the double competition at the International Czech Championships in 1929.

In 1929 and 1930 she competed in individual competitions at world championships. Her greatest success was third place in 1930 in a mixed with Sándor Glancz (Hungary). In 1930 she reached the round of 16 in singles.

At the 1929 World Cup in Budapest, she was defeated in the first round in the singles by Gertrude Wildam (Austria), in doubles with Marie Masáková (CSSR) to the Hungarians Magda Gál / Ilona Zador and in the mixed with Munio Pillinger (Austria) to the Hungarian couple Zoltán Mechlovits / Mária Mednyánszky . In Berlin in 1930 she was eliminated in a single bye against Josefine Kolbe (Austria). The doubles with Kuhlmann (Germany) did not survive the first round either. The mixed Sándor Glancz (Hungary) initially defeated Carl-Eric Bülow / Deutelmoser (Sweden / Germany). After two more victories, it lost to István Kelen / Anna Sipos (Hungary) in the semi-finals .

In the German ranking list she took second place in 1930 and 1931. Around 1930 she played for the Westend Berlin club.

  1. The anniversary book 75 years DTTB states on page 206 that Carnatz still took part in the 1931 World Cup , but I can't find any other sources for that.
