Valtos ( Greek Βάλτος ( m. Sg. ) ˈValtɔs 'swamp') is a local community in the Orestiada municipality of the Orestiada municipality in the Greek region of East Macedonia and Thrace .

Valtos was founded in 1923 by refugees from the eastern Thracian villages of Mesochori, Kouleli and Krasochori.

The village is located about 17 km west of Orestiada near the Greek-Turkish-Bulgarian border triangle. Valtos has a church of Saints Helena and Constantine and an old school that is already closed. On May 21st every year the holiday of Saints Helena and Constantine is celebrated there.
