Van Hansis
Van Hansis , born Evan Vanfossen Hansis (born September 25, 1981 in North Adams , Massachusetts ) is an American film , stage actor and producer. From 2005 to 2010 he played the role of Luke Snyder in Young and Passionate - As Life Plays . From 2012 to 2019 he played the lead role Thom in the web series EastSiders . Since 2020 he has been the producer and director of the series Ms. Guidance .
Life
After graduating from Four Corners School and Greenfield Center School in Greenfield , Massachusetts, Hansis began training as an actor. He attended Carnegie Mellon University and achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004 . On December 14, 2005, Hansis was first seen on television on CBS . He plays the role of Luke Snyder , a gay man who falls in love with the character Noah Mayer (played by actor Jake Silbermann ) as an actor in the US soap opera Young and Passionate . From 2007 to 2009 he was nominated for the Daytime Emmy for the role of Luke Snyder . In 2006 Hansis starred in the short film The Time Machine . From 2012 to 2019 Hansis played the role of Thoms in the EastSiders series, invented by Kit Williamson , which was first produced for Logo , then for Vimeo and later for Netflix , where he also co-produced. Since 2020 he has been involved in the production of the series Ms. Guidance as a producer and director .
Hansis is also active as a stage actor, in addition to a role in The Laramie Project in Pittsburgh , he has in various theater productions such as On the Razzle , Twelfth Night, or Charles Busch's Die, Mommie, Die! Played roles from 2005 to 2008.
Hansis is openly gay and has been dating Broadway actor Tyler Hanes since 2007.
