The Vanand Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Вананд wrach Wanand ) is a 3100 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains it rises 8.8 km northeast of Mount Vinson , 9.61 km east to south of Mount Shinn , 5.89 km south to east of Mount Segers and 8.73 km west-southwest of Mount Waldron in the Zinsmeister Ridge on the northeast side of the Vinson massif . The Dater Glacier is to the east and the Hinkley Glacier is northwest of it.
American scientists mapped it in 1988. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2011 after the former Bulgarian principality of Vanand in today's Armenia .
