Vanessa Margot Blumhagen (born November 14, 1977 in Karlsruhe ) is a German journalist .

life and career

After graduating from high school at Wilhelm-Hausenstein-Gymnasium in Durmersheim, Blumhagen studied fashion journalism and media marketing at the AMD Akademie Mode & Design in Hamburg in 1997 , which she finished in 2000. This was followed by an internship at the Hamburger Morgenpost . She then worked there as well as at Men's Health , Frau im Spiegel and others as a freelance worker and editor. She was often seen on television as a presenter for RTL at Punkt 12 and was also regularly engaged as a VIP reporter for RTL Punkt 9 news.

Blumhagen has been a freelance journalist since 2007. In 2013 she published the non-fiction book Every day I got fat and tired: My life with Hashimoto about her Hashimoto's thyroiditis . The book The Hashimoto Diet followed in 2014 . In July 2013, she switched to Sat.1 , where she succeeded Sibylle Weischenberg as a “society expert” on Sat.1 breakfast television . She appears there every Monday and Thursday in the VIP section - Vanessa's Important People . Since 2014 she has also played the role of society expert in the programs Promi Big Brother and Promi Big Brother - The Late Night Show .
