Sibylle Weischenberg

Sibylle Weischenberg (born June 1, 1954 in Schleswig ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

Sibylle Weischenberg comes from Schleswig, grew up in Cologne, studied fashion design with a degree, then journalism, art history, German, journalism and sociology. She began her journalistic career as an editor for the daily newspapers Hamburger Abendblatt and Rheinische Post and as a correspondent for the British news agency Reuters . Before the 1987 federal election , she accompanied the SPD candidate for chancellor Johannes Rau on a trip to Germany as a press officer. She then worked as the responsible editor for the Hamburg news magazine Der Spiegel , as a Hamburg correspondent for Burda Verlag , as a society columnist and head of entertainment at the Gala magazine and as a society columnist and head of the department at the Bunte Illustrierte .

She was seen on television as a commentator on live reports on RTL , such as the funeral of Princess Diana or the wedding of the Dutch heir to the throne Willem-Alexander with Máxima . Every Thursday Sibylle Weischenberg appeared in the WIP ( Weischenbergs Important People ) section on Sat.1 breakfast television . As a so-called “society expert”, she can occasionally be seen in TV magazines such as Brisant , Hallo Deutschland or Taff . After more than ten years, Weischenberg left Sat.1 breakfast television at her own request on June 30, 2013. Her successor is Vanessa Blumhagen .

In 2007 her book I hate summer was published , in autumn 2008 the sequel, My 30 Lipsticks and Me, was published . She spoke the audio book versions herself.

Weischenberg lives in Munich.
