Velvet (original title: Galerías Velvet ) is a Spanish television series that was produced from 2014 to 2016 for the television channel Antena 3 .

The series, which comes from the makers of the series Grandhotel , had its German premiere on April 7, 2015 on Sony Entertainment Television .

The series is set in the Galerías Velvet, a luxury fashion house in Madrid, in the late 1950s. After training in London, Alberto, the owner's son, returns to the company and falls in love again with his childhood sweetheart Ana, who works there as a tailor. But the difference in class makes a possible relationship between them difficult. Problems also arise with the implementation of her professional plans - Alberto tries to modernize the company so that it can assert itself in the market despite the breakthrough in cheaper prêt-à-porter fashion, and Ana wants to become a creative designer.
