The remains of an undated hill fort can be found near the top of the Ven Law . Several walls surrounded the oval complex, the maximum length and width of which are given as 80 and 58 meters respectively. Today the area is overgrown. Remnants of walls up to 60 cm high have been preserved in isolated cases. Various traces of settlement have been preserved on the slopes of the Ven Law. These include a settlement on the north-eastern slope surrounded by two oval palisade structures measuring a maximum of 34 × 27 m, as well as a similar 23 × 18 m complex west of the summit. Another settlement on the northern slope is listed as a Scheduled Monument . Stone was once broken on the northwest slope of Ven Law.
