Ventura Alvarado Aispuro (born August 16, 1992 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is an American football player .

The defender has been playing for Club América in the Mexican MX league since 2012 .

Player career

youth

From 2008 Alvarado played in the youth of Club América. He started in the so-called Tercera team and played a year later in the club's U-17 youth team. In the 2010/2011 season he played for the reserve team Club América Coapa in the Segunda División , the third highest league in the country. With the U-20 team he won the Mexican U-20 Clausura Championship in 2012. At the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 2012, he was involved in every Club América game and finished third with her at the end of the tournament.

Club America

Alvarado moved to the first team of Club América for the 2012/2013 season and made his debut in a cup game in July 2012. On February 16, 2013, he also made his debut in the Liga MX.

In the 2013/2014 season he played on loan for the second division club Necaxa .

At Apertura 2014 Alvarado returned to the Americanistas and won the championship with the team . Alvarado played in both finals against the UANL Tigres and won the CONCACAF Champions League with the Aguilas at the end of the 2014/15 season .

National team

Since Ventura Alvarado is the son of Mexican immigrants, it was possible for him to play for the Mexican national soccer team . However, he decided on the USA, although he had previously shown interest in both teams. On March 25, 2015, he made his debut for the United States national soccer team in a friendly against Denmark .
