Vera Gaserow (* 1950 ) is a German journalist .

Career

Vera Gaserow completed a master's -Studies of journalism and communication studies , history and German studies . She also has a degree in social education .

She is co-founder of the taz and was its author from 1979 to 1991. From 1991 to 1999 she worked as a freelance journalist, among other things as an author of Die Zeit and as a freelancer for radio stations and daily newspapers. Since 1999 she has been a correspondent in the parliamentary office of the Frankfurter Rundschau . There she writes mainly on social, economic and environmental issues.

Awards

  • In 1997 she received a prize at the journalists' competition of the Märkischer Press and Business Club for a contribution in which she described everyday life in the Rollbergsiedlung in Berlin's Neukölln district .
  • On April 28, 2006 Gaserow received the environmental award for journalists for her committed and critical observation of environmental policy in Berlin .
