Verdorben (Original title: Rotten ) is an American documentary television series . The first season was released on January 5, 2018 on the video-on-demand provider Netflix . The second season was released on October 4, 2019.

The series addresses the food industry and sheds light on the production methods of food . In the process, questionable business practices are revealed and, in some cases, cartel- like structures in the production and processing of individual foods are shown . Corrupt can therefore also be assigned to the genre of true crime .
