Vermin was a Swedish death metal - band from Nässjö .
history
The band was founded in autumn 1991 in Nässjö . In the first full calendar year the band released two demos and a third in 1993, all on cassette . Their debut album Plunge into Oblivion was a "Death Metal Steampunk" and was released in 1994 by Chaos Records , when "other bands were already looking for a way out of the pure dead lead of the early days". In terms of riffing, singing and production, the music took on "almost punky traits".
With the second album Millennium Ride followed a change to the label No Fashion Records , which u. a. Katatonia , Lobotomy and Misteltein had under contract, as well as a style change that they used "exactly the same ingredients, the same sound" as Entombed in 1993 , so that this album was referred to in a review as "Wolverine Blus Part II".
Also on the third and so far last album Filthy F *** ing Vermin played the band " Death 'n' Roll , which tends more towards Roll than Death", strongly reminiscent of Entombed and about "a lot of groove and dirty rock feeling" have. It was produced in the Sunlight Studio by Tomas Skogsberg .
Subsequently, the band broke up "without much notice being taken".
