Vermio ( Greek Βέρμιο ( n. Sg. )) Is a municipality in the municipality of Eordea in the Greek region of Western Macedonia with 2768 inhabitants . It was founded as a municipality in 1997 and named after the mountain of the same name , which is over 2000 m high and takes up part of the area.

Administrative division

The municipality of Vermio emerged in 1997 as a municipality from the amalgamation of four rural municipalities. The administrative seat of the municipality of Vermio was in Komnina . With the administrative reform in 2010 , Vermio was merged into the newly founded municipality of Eordea , in which it has since formed a municipality, the former municipal districts are run as a local community ( topiki kinotita ).
