The Secretary iris ( Iris vicaria ) is a plant of the genus Iris ( Iris ) within the family of the Iridaceae (Iridaceae).

features

The representative iris is a perennial bulb plant that reaches heights of 20 to 40 centimeters. The plate of the hanging leaves measures 1.2 to 1.7 × 0.8 to 1.4 centimeters. It is white or yellowish in color, the edge is light purple and on both sides of the entire, wavy, yellow to white comb there is a dark yellow spot. The nail is 5 to 10 millimeters wide and has parallel edges. The standards are 2 to 2.5 centimeters long, light purple in color with darker nerves and pointed rhombic or three-lobed. The perigone is 4 to 4.5 inches long and purple in color with darker nerves.

The flowering period extends from March to April.

Occurrence

The representative iris occurs in west and south-west Tajikistan in the west and south-west Pamir on fine stony slopes in almond trees with ferula and prangos at altitudes of 700 to 3000 meters.
