The administrative community Gröditz was an administrative community in the Free State of Saxony in the district of Meißen . It was located in the north of the district, about 17 km northeast of Riesa and 14 km north of the city of Großenhain . The community area was located on a low plain about 100 meters above sea level, the Röderaue . This is traversed by the Große Röder and the Kleine Röder . To the north was the border with the state of Brandenburg . Federal road 169 runs through the former community area in Gröditz .
The administrative partnership was entered into on January 1, 2000. With the incorporation of Nauwalde into Gröditz, it was dissolved with effect from January 1, 2013 and replaced by the unified community of Gröditz.
