The administrative community Lohmen / Stadt Wehlen is an administrative community in the Free State of Saxony in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains . It is located in the center of the district a little southeast of the state capital Dresden. It borders in the northwest on the district town of Pirna , in the southwest on the Elbe and in the east and south on the Saxon Switzerland National Park , in which parts of the administrative community are located.
The administrative community was established on January 1st, 1999 as the administrative community Lohmen . It has had its current name since January 1, 2000.
