The administrative community Stadtroda was in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . The city of Stadtroda and the municipality of Ruttersdorf-Lotschen had come together in it to handle their administrative business. The seat was in Stadtroda.

The administrative community was founded on January 1st, 1992. The dissolution took place on October 19, 1995. Effective October 20, 1995, Stadtroda became a fulfilling municipality for Ruttersdorf-Lotschen.
