The valley niche is flanked by woody heights, in the south by the Ban , in the southwest by the Millery and in the west by the Bois de la Grande Brosse . They consist of sandy-marly and calcareous sediments that were deposited during the Lias ( Lower Jurassic ). Shell limestone from the Middle Triassic also appears in various places . At 395 m, the highest point in Visoncourt is reached in the Bois de la Grande Brosse. The community area extends further to the west into the headwaters of the Durgeon .

Economy and Infrastructure
Visoncourt is still a village dominated by agriculture (arable farming, fruit growing and cattle breeding) and forestry. Outside of the primary sector there are few jobs in town. Some workers are therefore commuters who work in the larger towns in the area.
The village is away from the major thoroughfares. The main access is from the main road N57, which runs from Luxeuil-les-Bains to Vesoul. Another road connection is with Éhuns.
