Mairie Beulotte-Saint-Laurent

Beulotte-Saint-Laurent is a commune in the French department of Haute-Saône in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté .

geography

Beulotte-Saint-Laurent is located at an altitude of 605 m above sea level, five kilometers north of Servance and about 28 kilometers north-northwest of the city of Belfort (as the crow flies). The village extends in the extreme northeast of the department, in the valley basin of the Beuletin on the plateau des Mille Étangs in the southwestern Vosges .

The area of the 14.20 km² municipal area covers a section of the southwest Vosges. The main part of the area is occupied by the Plateau des Mille Étangs , which rises slightly towards the northeast. The plateau shows a loose structure of forest, pasture land, heathland and moors. It reaches an average height of 650 m. In the basin there are numerous small lakes, which are predominantly of natural origin and formed during the Ice Age by glacier grinding. Some have also been dammed up and are used for fish farming. The area is drained by the Beuletin, which is sunk up to 100 m into the plateau with its valley, to the southwest.

To the north, the community area extends into the headwaters of the Breuchin , a tributary of the Lanterne . The north-eastern demarcation runs on a wide ridge that drops steeply to the valley of the Moselle . With 757 m, the highest point of Beulotte-Saint-Laurent is reached in the area of the Haut d'Alouette . From a geological and tectonic point of view, the heights consist partly of sediments that were deposited during the Lias , partly the crystalline bedrock emerges. Quaternary deposits can be found on the heights as well as in the valleys . The entire municipality is part of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park .

In addition to the actual village, Beulotte-Saint-Laurent includes several hamlets and numerous farms, including:

Neighboring communities of Beulotte-Saint-Laurent are Corravillers and Ferdrupt in the north, Ramonchamp in the east, Servance-Miellin with Servance in the south and Esmoulières in the west.

history

Together with Franche-Comté , the place finally came to France with the Peace of Nijmegen in 1678. Today Beulotte-Saint-Laurent is a member of the community association Communauté de communes des Mille Étangs, comprising 16 localities .
