It formed the center of a rule and developed into a small castle settlement. Together with Franche-Comté , the village finally came to France with the Peace of Nijmegen in 1678. In 1807 Oricourt was incorporated into Aillevans. As early as 1819, however, it was regained its municipal autonomy. Oricourt Castle

Oricourt's medieval castle originally dates back to the 12th century. It is one of the best preserved examples of medieval military architecture in Franche-Comté. The castle is surrounded by a double fortress wall, which includes two 25 m high square towers. It is protected by a 10 m deep ditch towards the Oricourt plateau. The residential buildings date from the 15th and 18th centuries. The pigeon house, built as a round tower, stands a little apart. The entire complex has been restored since 1969 and has been classified as a Monument historique since 1984 .

The center of Oricourt is characterized by various farmhouses from the 16th to 18th centuries, which show the traditional style of the Haute-Saône. Three large fountains date from the 19th century.
