Administrative community Weida-Land
In the administrative community Weida-Land of the Saalekreis , nine municipalities were united to handle administrative business. The administrative community was formed on January 1, 2005 from the dissolved administrative communities Wein-Weida-Land and Weitzschker-Weidatal .
On January 1, 2010, the administrative community was dissolved by the formation of the Verbandsgemeinde Weida-Land .
The administrative community had an area of 136.43 km² and 9035 inhabitants (December 31, 2006).
The brook Weida gave it its name .
