Vetzan ( Italian Vezzano ) is a fraction of the municipality of Schlanders in Vinschgau in South Tyrol ( Italy ). A German spelling that was mistakenly used in part is Vezzan . The village has 465 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2015). It is located on an alluvial cone on the orographic left , northern side of the Adige Valley . The Vetzan volunteer fire brigade with youth fire brigade , a kindergarten, an elementary school, a church and several chapels and crosses exist in the village .

South below the village, between the state road 38 and the Adige , there is a large industrial park belonging to Vetzan with a hotel, a large ham smokehouse, a concrete mixing plant and other businesses.
