The VfL Bad Berleburg is a sports club from Bad Berleburg in North Rhine-Westphalia . The first men's football team currently plays in the Landesliga Westfalen . Other branches of the association are badminton , ballet & dancing , handball , athletics , swimming , skiing , marching band , taekwondo , table tennis , gymnastics and volleyball .
history
The club was founded in 1921 as the successor to the gymnastics club 1863 Bad Berleburg . In 1970 he merged with the Spiel- und Sportverein Bad Berleburg and the Skiclub 1909 Bad Berleburg .
Soccer
The club's greatest successes in football in 1975 and 1977 were promotion to the then highest Westphalian amateur league , the Association League Westphalia . Both in the 1975/76 and 1977/78 seasons , however, the club was immediately relegated to the Landesliga Westfalen both times .
