Vibeke Lunde
Vibeke "Babben" Lunde (born March 21, 1921 , † August 12, 1962 ) was a Norwegian sailor who won an Olympic silver medal in 1952.
Vibeke Lunde met her future husband Peder Lunde Senior in 1936 while sailing on the island of Ormøya near Oslo. In 1942 their son Peder Lunde Junior was born.
At the Olympic Games in 1952 , Peder Lunde Senior, Vibeke Lunde and her brother Børre Falkum-Hansen sailed the yacht Encore in the 5.5 meter class . Orvar Larsen had actually bought the yacht for his son, who was still too young. On the regatta course off Helsinki, the crew came in second four times, fourth once and fifth once, which was enough to make it to second place behind the US Complex II .
Her son Peder Junior then became Olympic champion in 1960.
