Victor "Vic" Ruggiero (also known as Ruggaroo, Lord Sluggo or Bad Vic) is a New York musician who mainly plays ska , rocksteady , reggae and related styles of music. He currently resides in New Jersey .

Ruggiero has played in many bands. The best known are The Slackers (previously called The Nods ), the Stubborn All-Stars, and the SKAndalous All-Stars . Furthermore, Ruggiero was involved in several projects with his friend and label boss Tim Armstrong from the American punk band Rancid . He played various keyboard instruments on both Transplants albums and on the Try This album by pop singer Pink , of which 8 of the 13 songs were created with the help of Tim Armstrong.

A joint project with Tim Armstrong under the name The Silencers resulted in only one release on a Hellcat label sampler. He also played the organ and various other instruments on the Rancid albums ... And Out Come The Wolves , Life Won't Wait , Indestructible and Let The Dominoes Fall .

In addition to his participation in the above-mentioned bands, Ruggiero has been active as a solo artist for many years. On his records, on which Ruggiero mainly plays guitar, harmonica and drums, you can mainly hear rockabilly, country and blues pieces.
