Vicente Estavillo , full name Vicente Alfredo Estavillo , (born May 17, 1955 ) is a former Uruguayan football player and coach.

Player career

society

Midfielder and offensive player Estavillo, who is also led under the name Vince Estavilio , is said to have belonged to Club Atlético Peñarol from 1973 to 1976 . Other sources locate him at Peñarol in 1977. In those years, however, he was not listed as part of the regular formation, nor did his name appear in the squad overviews of the first team of the "Aurinegros" playing in the Primera División . From 1976 to 1979 he was active for the Montevideo Wanderers in the Primera División. In the seasons 1981/82 and 1982/83 he was under contract with Olympiacos Piraeus in Greece . During this period he made 40 league games and scored two goals. His club won the Greek championship in both seasons. In the 1983/84 season he played for PAS Giannina . The mission statistics show eleven encounters with his participation and one hit for him. In 1984 he is listed as a player at Nacional Montevideos . With the "Bolsos", which he had joined that year in the transfer window before the Torneo Colombes , he was not used in any game. His commitment by the Montevideans is seen as a complete failure. In 1985 he was in the ranks of the lower class Uruguayan club Auburn. In 1986 and 1987, Sydney Olympic FC in Australia was his employer.

In addition - without an exact chronological order, but at least before his involvement with Nacional Montevideo - reports on a career station at Bella Vista .

National team

Estavillo was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the Pan American Games in 1975 . Uruguay were eliminated in the preliminary round. Estavillo ran in the tournament at least in the 1-1 draw against Cuba on October 13, 1975 when he came on for Ruben Umpiérrez .

After his career, he took up a career as a coach. As such, he worked in the 1994/95 season at Sydney Olympic and 2003 with the Stanmore Hawks . In December 2007 he took over from Gustavo Lucas as coach at Cerro Largo FC . Since December 12, 2011, he worked alongside head coach Alfredo Arias as an assistant coach at the Montevideo Wanderers. On July 12, 2014, the Montevideo Wanderers announced his return to the club in the future role as youth coordinator.
