Victor Florence Pollet
Victor Florence Pollet (born November 22, 1811 in Paris , † December 11, 1882 in Mayenne ) was a French nude and history painter and engraver .
Pollet was a student of the history painter Paul Delaroc and the copper engraver Théodore Richomme . He continued his studies at the École des beaux-arts de Paris . In 1838 he received the Prix de Rome for an engraving. After a stay in Rome, where he worked with watercolor and copperplate engraving, he returned to Paris in 1845. Pollet created numerous watercolors and copperplate engravings based on his own and other people's templates. He was friends with Pierre Puvis de Chavannes .
